It’s nearly the holidays……. 1 more week to go……. but what a busy week!

3pm hometime
  • For the safety of the children, we ask that all children in Y0-2 are collected by a parent/family member or sibling from the classroom.
  • Please contact the school office if someone else other than you will be collecting your child, the office will then inform the class teacher
litterless lunches
  • We are working on cutting down the amount of litter at school.
  • One way to help us do this is for each child to try and have a litterless lunch.
  • That would mean taking the food item out of the packet at home and just having the food in the lunchbox.
  • Reusable containers are great for keeping the food fresh.

Reminder:
No kicking balls on the concrete please

  • Please do not play soccer on the concrete outside the classes before, during or after school due to the risk of injury and damage to windows.
  • In Autumn/Winter the grass areas are also out of bounds to prevent accidents, uniforms getting dirty and mud being taken into classrooms.
  • Once the good weather returns, our beautiful fields and grass areas will be open again for more soccer fun.
Reading
  • Please remember to read to and/or with your child nightly.
  • Children of all ages and abilities benefit from both hearing adults read to them as well as reading their own books to you.
  • Hearing an adult read enables children to hear what great reading is like.
  • Encouraging your child to imagine the book in their head as they read (or make a movie of the book in their imagination) is also a great skill that helps children retell each story and correctly answer questions about it.
Uniform
  • Please ensure every item of your child’s uniform is named.
  • If your child is found to be wearing a non-uniform item, they will be asked to remove it and a letter will be sent home with your child explaining what changes need to be made.
