Junior Weekly Newsletter

Happy Easter Holiday to all our Junior School families - Reminder Term 2 starts Monday 1st May 8.50am

Winning Whanau Mufti Day
  • The winning whanau for Term 1 is Puriri. All children in Puriri can wear blue mufti on Thursday to school.
Lost Property
  • There is a huge amount of lost property ( the black box outside the library) please could you have a look through it and see if anything belongs to you
Bake Sale
  • PTA Bake Sale is this Tuesday lunchtime, bring some gold coins for a sweet treat
Tissues
  • A timely reminder the cold season is approaching. Please send in a box of tissues for your child to your child’s teacher as soon as possible. Thank you to those families who have already brought theirs in.
Prime Maths
  • Thank you to those that have sent their money in for the Prime Maths text books. There is still time to send $11 in to your child’s teacher before Thursday.
Mathletics
  • Keep up the Mathletics over the holidays. A reminder that the Mathletics fee needs to be paid in full by the end of this term (13th April). The fee is $20.  If this is not paid in full by the end of the term, your child's subscription will be put on hold over the holidays until the fee is paid. Thank you to those of you who have already paid.
Last Ice Blocks on Thursday
  • If you would like your child to have an ice block on Thursday  please send in $1 to your child’s teacher.
                 School bags
  • Please encourage your child to unpack their own bag when they come into class in the morning (water bottle and book bag) - this helps them become more independent & responsible for their belongings
  • It’s also great to see so many children carrying their own bag into class in the morning and at home time - after all it’s their bag!!
Class blogs
  • Please check the child’s class blog for weekly letters and other information.

Wednesday: Junior Singing
Thursday: PTA Mufti Day - Retro Theme - Pick a decade! 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s. Cost $2 for the mufti. Funds go to:  Playground
